Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes I have insurance coverage for personal and public liability. I also have a contingency plan in case something prevents me from attending on the day so that I have a back up celebrant available in case of emergency at no additional cost to the client. I guarantee that I will perform my work to the very best of my ability and I am covered by the requirements of the Federal Attorney General's Department. I adhere to all restrictions in place at the time of the wedding and if it is postponed due to Covid restrictions I guarantee that there will be no additional charge to reschedule to a mutually acceptable date.

What do you like most about your job?

I love the fact that every time I go to work I am surrounded by love and happiness. I try to meet with the people who appoint me before their wedding so they can ensure that they are comfortable with me and vice versa and I am happy to say that I still catch up with a number of my brides for coffee and lunch as well as being FB friends.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I am a professional Finance Executive and a CDec so professional integrity is absolutely paramount in everything I do. I will never let down someone who is giving me the privilege of trusting me with one of the most important days of their lives. I am or have been a Director on various charity boards and mostly served as Treasurer so I am 100% honest.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I do this job because I love it and so I offer a personalised, individual service at very reasonable rates and I guarantee that I will give 110% of my time to ensure my clients have a perfect ceremony that they will remember forever for all the right reasons. I am calm, mature and fun and I will help with tips, ideas, suggestions and connections to make the journey as easy and enjoyable as it can be.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Size of the wedding ie number of guests so I know whether additional items such as PA equipment or signing tables are required Date and time of day and location of the wedding so I can work out travel arrangements I will generally send through a range of options if I am uncertain which provides them with a maximum cost that may be reduced once we speak further.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

By being aware of what they want in terms of their wedding size and inclusions By discussing with me opportunities for saving through the use of packages that I can help with including photography, flowers, cakes, venues etc By appointing me early in their planning process because I offer a complete service not just the celebrancy side and I can help them throughout their journey with no or very little additional cost depending on their needs.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

I have special offers available for all clients based on their individual circumstances eg veterans, front line emergency services personnel, special circumstances. I also offer discounts periodically and in conjunction with some other local suppliers.

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

I generally base my pricing on what I believe people want in their ceremony and there may be discounts available if they meet certain criteria once I have spoken to them. By way of comparison the Registry Office in Queensland charges between $364 and $710 for the same levels of service.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

For an elopement or microceremony the price varies between $200 and $250 depending on day and time. For larger weddings it is generally around $600 again depending on day and time. Weekdays are generally lower cost than weekends due to demand. A percentage of all fees is donated to MS Qld to assist in their valuable research.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I enjoy all types of weddings but particularly those that are smaller because they can be more inclusive with family and friends who can be directly involved. I also really love subsequent weddings because they are generally calmer and more family orientated. I particularly love involving children in the proceedings.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I have spent many years as a professional CFO so am very structured and organised. I am very creative and will write your ceremony in your way. I am a registered marriage celebrant and a Commissioner of Declarations (CDec) so you will always get the legal requirements covered.
