How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I became a wedding celebrant on the request of a friend. She asked me to be their celebrant - of course I jumped at the chance! What a pleasure to be asked to share in such an important occasion in the life of a friend.

I have shared in so many beautiful love stories over the years from traditional ceremonies, elopements and couples surprising guests by getting married engagement parties. My favourite story would have to be celebrating the elopement wedding of a friend to her gorgeous fiance, then having to keep it all a secret from family and friends until the night of their engagement party.

What do you like most about your job?

There are so many great things about being a wedding celebrant and I can't think of a better profession to have as a part time career. But to be honest, I'd like to say that being able to share in the beautiful memories of couples in love is the best part of being a wedding celebrant. I love my job and it makes me happy to know that I can provide a lovely service to the community, by sharing in the love and happiness of others on their wedding day.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

What is included in their packages and prices? What areas do they service? Do you provide and assist us to complete the marriage paperwork? Do you provide a PA System, Microphone, Music player for the ceremony, signing table and chairs? Do you help us obtain our wedding certificate after the ceremony?

We have just recently become engaged - what do we do first? Congratulations on your engagement - what an exciting time for you both. For all couples planning a wedding, the most important things to consider first are the date and location/venue. Then book your essential wedding service providers such as your Celebrant and Photographer. Wedding Venues, Celebrants and Photographers book out very quickly, especially in the Spring and Summer months, so to avoid disappointment, I have had couples book 18 months to 2 years prior just so they can book their date.  What do I need to provide the celebrant for my fiance and I to be married? To complete your notice of intended marriage form, you will require an original copy of your birth certificate and a piece of photo id, if you were born in Australia, or a birth certificate (officially translated into English) or a passport stating full name and place of birth for those born overseas. The notice of intended marriage can be completed up to 18 months prior or no less than 1 month prior to your chosen wedding date.  When can we be married? You can be married on any date, at any time and at many different locations in Australia; although your notice of intended marriage forms are required to be completed 30 days prior to your chosen wedding date - so remember this if you are considering combining your wedding with your engagement party to surprise your guests. For those couples choosing to have their ceremony in a public garden or park, they may be required to complete a booking with their local council, and a fee may be required to confirm the booking.

I offer many different wedding packages to couples - from elopements to all the bells and whistles traditional ceremonies. I have experience writing many different ceremonies and love to create individualised ceremonies for each and every couple who I have the pleasure to marry. I attend yearly Celebrancy conferences to continue my education, knowledge of Australian Marriage Laws and ceremony writing experience. I happily travel Victoria-wide or even to interstate on special request - travel costs apply on location. Please enquire for your personalised quote.

Most importantly - decide on your wedding date, time and location - this will assist is providing you with your personalised quote for your wedding day. Decide on the type of wedding ceremony you require eg. traditional, elopement, short and sweet, theme / spiritual/ religious

What makes your pricing competitive?

My pricing is competitive as I understand how expensive weddings can be, and booking a wedding celebrant shouldn't be a stressful or expensive addition to your wedding day. I cater to all ceremony requests from elopements or just the legals wedding ceremonies, all the way up to all the bells and whistles traditional wedding ceremonies. My pricing quote is also dependent on the location of your wedding ceremony.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Weddings are individually quoted in relation to your wedding ceremony location. I am more than happy to travel Victoria - wide, or interstate on special request. All couples receive the same personalised service no matter if you are getting married in local, Victorian or interstate location.

I am an Authorised Wedding Celebrant specialising in Weddings and other life celebrations. I especially love to celebrate Traditional Celtic Handfasting Ceremonies, and Theme weddings. Remember you are only limited by your imagination and creativity!
