I have full Public Liability insurance and my family's experience is your guarantee. My Dad has more than 30 years experience and we will ensure you'll get a fun and engaging performance every time.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

My Dad has been a professional magician all of his life and my brother took it up at my age and very soon began to appear on TV and I soon realised I had the knack for magic too. I've traveled to magic conferences all over the world and taken lessons from some huge TV stars. I just love the effect magic has on people. Its a great way to make a living!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

My first professional gig was for a huge fundraising event at The Radisson, with a room full of politicians, TV and radio personalities and successful business people. In fact the event raised over $50,000. They sent me a letter afterwards to say that it was the best entertainment they had seen in eight years of running the event.

What do you like most about your job?

I LOVE performing magic. There is no better feeling than having a group laughing out loud and enjoying the show. Its such a buzz for me. I also love working on new routines. Every move has to tweaked and changed and rehearsed until it looks and feels natural and that's a real challenge for close up magic.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Ask about their experience with strolling magic. Do they just do cards or is it a variety? Some magicians do kid's parties and a clown shows and anything which comes along. I'm a sleight of hand magician, pure and simple. Its all I do. I specialise in skillful close-up magic with all kinds of objects.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

People often ask how long I need to be at a function. Its hard to say and it depends on many things. I can generally get to around 50 people an hour. If you've got more than 150 people, we probably need 2 magicians. People also ask why I don't do a show. I prefer close-up magic because the whole function doesn't need to stop. I can work in between food and speeches and when people arrive late or have to leave early.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I only take one function per night and this is all I do (and I love my work!). I will re-confirm the night before the function and on the night I will work with the organiser to ensure that everything is to your satisfaction and that we create a magical atmosphere at your event.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

That's easy. I will be terrific VALUE for money as an entertainer. I don't need expensive PA equipment or a truck full of props. I work from my pockets and you will see that I have supreme sleight of hands skills, far in advance of magicians twice or three times my age.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The time and location of your event, how many people will be present, what the event is celebrating, and whether you have any other entertainment on the night. That's all I need.

I'm a young man starting in the business. I am working towards a career and don't need to charge a fortune.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Its a fixed fee based on how many people will be at the event, how far I have to travel and what night its on. Sometimes, there is a premium price for busy times such as Christmas weekends. Otherwise, its a simple one-off quoted price. I'll give you my best deal and promise you good value so please don't haggle.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Simply this. I perform visual, close-up strolling magic for corporate and private events, primarily for adults. This is an indoor entertainment and is not designed for football fields and parks.

I have trained as a magician for a number of years, including taking lessons from some of the world's greatest magicians. I also work very closely with my Dad who is one of the best known magicians in Australia.
