Yes, we have all the necessary insurances required to run a legitimate fencing business and we guarantee all work is up to a required standard. Furthermore, most Colorbond fencing products comes with their own warranty to guarantee the quality of the product itself.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I first starting working as a fencing contractor over 10 years ago while I was studying at university. I then had the opportunity to purchase my own franchise and have been operating it for over 8 years.

A common customer story that occurs with us is one of a client looking to renovate their backyard etc. they have had run down fences for many years and finally have decided they're going to overhaul their backyard. We provide that client with a prompt high quality product installed to their requested specification and this is usual the catalyst they need to transform their backyard into what they have always hoped it could be.

Customers should always ask whether a fencing contractor has a fencing license and the required insurances to conduct business. It is very important to confirm what brand of Colorbond fencing your fencing contractor is quoting you for as there are a lot of cheaper and inferior products on the market that can be installed at a cheaper price per metre. However, clients need to be aware cheaper is not always better.

The most commonly asked question I receive is regarding the Brand of Colorbond fencing we supply and install and my answer to this is we predominately use Lysaght Colorbond Fencing which is one of the longest running suppliers of Colorbond fencing and is owned by Bluescope Steel and is of the highest quality. We can also provide brands such as Metrol, Colormax and Stratco at the clients request.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Before being able to provide an accurate quote we need to know firstly what type/types of fencing the client would like to be quoted for. Secondly the length of fencing that is required (this can be measured by us upon a visit to the property) and finally the time frame for the work to be completed.

If customers are trying to save as much money as possible on their new fencing installation 3 ways they could do this is by firstly ensure that the fence line is free from obstructions including building materials, kids play sets etc. to allow uninhabited access to the working area. Secondly, ensure that all overgrowing vines, trees, tree branches etc. have been sufficiently pruned or cleared to allow uninhabited access to the fence line and finally and most importantly if the customer feels up to or has the capabilities of pulling down and removing any existing fencing this will save a significant amount of pulldown and removal costs.

For common fencing services we charge at a price per metre and our gates are supplied at a price per gate depending on the dimension and materials used. Made to order fencing and gates will be priced depending on specifications.
