How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I was at a point in my life where I wanted to move on from the other job I was doing and just as I was about to get married, I visited a wedding expo and I saw a make-up artist doing"her thing". A love and passion for make-up artistry just grew in me then. I knew I wanted to be up there on stage doing the same thing and making people realize how beautiful they are.

What do you like most about your job?

Its flexibility as it allows me to still spend time with my family and I like to be able to do what I was made to do, that is art. I love it that my job is creative and fun and I get to see so much prettiness and so much excitement and happiness in every bride I make up.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I work extremely hard at leaving the client satisfied with the job, I am honest, punctual and responsible. I treat my clients well and I use all great products!

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

I normally need to know the date they need the job on in case I am not available, the location ( to quote accurately) and the number of people to be made up

What makes your pricing competitive?

Accepted Answer

I am very realistic and I charge what is fair for both parties ( client and my business)  and I stay medium. I am not the cheapest make-up artist around but I am not the most expensive make-up artist around either.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

The client normally makes a bank transfer of either 50% non refundable deposit at the time of booking, to lock their date in with me or they can pay upfront ( still 50% non refundable in case of cancellation before the job) if they wish to do so.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialize in bridal make-up , fashion and special occasion as well. Hair services are available for all bridal or special occasion clients as well.

The opportunity to train overseas in one of the most competitive places in the world of make-up artistry and fashion ( that is London, UK) has allow me to grow my skills and work with a lot of very different people and skin tones which has given me confidence to overcome any challenges and to work understanding what every person needs to look and feel their best
