EDITED to add : Since posting this review, we have received a number of emails requesting that it be removed, including statements such as “remove this by close of business today” and references to the review being “false, misleading, malicious and defamatory”. I have also been told that “ You relied on the building report without any consideration of all its conditions, restrictions, recommendations.” It is concerning that he thinks it is acceptable to say a property has no visible termite damage when there are active mounds , and roof structural beams which you can see as soon as you poke your head into the attic (of which he photographed the opposite side of and claimed no termites) if it is his opinion we should not rely upon his report, then what is the purpose? Being a licensed professional carries responsibility to act and perform your job in accordance with your licence and the law. The public are allowed to put trust into licensed professionals. ( the photos speak for themselves)) and defamation. He also stated “I recommended another report in my report” - so what is the purpose of yours ? Either you are a competent licensed professional or you aren’t, if you do not vouch for or offer any assurances of your ability to locate and spot building and termite issues; should you be marketing and performing those tasks? Personal experience is incredibly important for consumers which is why I have been emailed demanding I take this down by him. It is not slander if it is true. It is not defamation if it is a true representation of my experience, and it is not malicious, it is peoples whole savings at risk here, buying a home is one of the largest and scariest things anyone will ever do, warning others of the risks associated with using someone who doesn’t show any responsibility, consideration or accountability for missing such obvious and multiple termite activity and or damage, I couldn’t in good conscious allow my silence to be responsible for anyone else being caused loss like we have. As a termite specific report was done , it is inexcusable for active mounds, and visible structural damage to be excluded entirely and written as “no visible evidence of termite workings or damage” and “no site timber pest issues identified”. We relied on a timber pest inspection report (Nov 2025) which stated: – “No visible evidence of termite workings or damage”– “No site timber pest issues identified” After purchase, we discovered termite activity, large damage, and mounds. We also identified some substantial termite mounds on the property well within 30m proximity to the dwelling, which was not referenced in the report. We have since obtained independent advice indicating that termite activity and associated damage were present and, observable at the time of the inspection we have also sought additional professional advice, which indicated that it would be unusual for these conditions to have been missed, which they’re preparing reports stating. We are sharing our experience based on the report we relied upon and the condition of the property as identified following settlement, along with professional advice, photos, videos and real life first hand experience. Trevor would like me to add that he states in his report his recommendation to get Recommendations from the Reports Tiler Bricklayer Painter Solid plaster/ Render Glazier Carpenter Plasterer Air Conditioner Technician Roof Plumber Engineer Concreter Builder Other Inspections Recommended Council Record Search, Asbestos, Air-conditioning, Flue/Chimney, Electrical, Plumbing, roof exterior. Timber pest Re inspection We have had of these things and people out, however that doesn’t negate his responsibility to report these issues, and all of the professionals who have been have seen the termite damage immediately, without prior knowledge. An electrician/air con guy was actually the one who spotted the roof joists, and he isn’t even a builder nor pest inspector. That speaks for its self.nick n

We engaged Trevor to complete a pre-sale inspection on our property & found him friendly, approachable & very knowledgeable. The report was supplied quickly & was easy to navigate as well. If purchasing a property in future would definitely have him complete the inspection. repliedic4u Building Inspections29 May 2024
