Professional Drone Imagery Pty Ltd implements a comprehensive set of Covid-19 safety measures for all on-site activities, ensuring the health and safety of clients, workers, and the public as part of its operational protocols. We meet the Australian Covid-19 Safety Standards.  Covid-19 Safety Measures Adherence to Government Health Guidelines:  Operations strictly follow the latest NSW Health and Federal Government Covid-19 protocols, including any social distancing, mask-wearing, and hygiene requirements in force on the date of scheduled works.  Minimisation of Onsite Personnel:  Only essential personnel (pilots, site manager, and key tradespersons) are permitted onsite to limit contact, as reflected in the Call Sheet and Council permit (typically no more than 10 trades onsite for filming).  Mandatory Pre-Start Safety Induction:  All onsite participants must attend a pre-start WHS and Covid-safety induction, addressing hygiene, physical distancing, and other risk controls. Attendees with Covid-19 symptoms are not permitted onsite.  Contact Tracing and Health Declarations:  All participants are required to provide contact information and may be asked to complete a health declaration prior to entering the site, ensuring quick response in the event of an exposure.  Sanitisation and Hygiene:  Hand sanitiser and cleaning sprays are provided for all high-contact surfaces and equipment (e.g., drone controllers, camera equipment). Crew are instructed to wash and sanitise hands regularly.  Masks & PPE:  Masks and appropriate PPE are available and may be mandated according to government requirements or when physical distancing cannot be maintained.  Physical Distancing:  Set protocols require participants to maintain physical distancing (minimum 1.5 metres) at all times, except as necessary for critical safety reasons, with all activities planned to minimise close contact.  Reduced Equipment Sharing:  All staff or subcontractors are encouraged not to share equipment, and any unavoidable shared items are disinfected between users.  Remote Approvals and Digital Communications:  Project meetings, approvals, and content transfers are completed via digital methods where possible, reducing in-person interactions.  Flexible Rescheduling for Illness/Exposure:  Any team member or participating trade who reports Covid-like symptoms or a close contact exposure is asked to stay home, and rescheduling is offered at no penalty to maintain project and public safety.  Documentation and Compliance All of these measures are documented as part of each project’s Job Safety Assessment (JSA) and Risk Assessments, and are visible in pre-start induction materials and compliance frameworks.  Compliance reviews and audits are part of project management, and risk controls are adapted as government recommendations evolve. How did you decide to get into your line of work?

My husband and I wanted to combine our skills to work together, so on 1 August 2024, we registered our Drone business, which combines my skills in the creative field and his skills in the operational, safety and surveying field. Haven't looked back since!

We loved working with Specialised Tradies and various tradies on a construction site in Bondi Beach, with a crane and a very complex area to manage. We loved it and got some amazing content!

We love producing work for our clients that meet and exceed their needs. We love being able to share the end result, sometimes it doesn't need all the bells and whistles, sometimes it is the raw and real content. Either way, we love that we can capture content they can't see with their own eyes in different formats for different solutions.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

1) Do they have a CASA Issued Remote Pilots Licence (RePL) for the type and weight of drone they are flying?  They must have the right licence to fly the right type of drone the Commercial Excluded category is for drones up to 2kgs.  2) Do they have the correct INSURANCE?   They must be insured for Public Liability AND Drone-use. Example: if their drone drops on a house, explodes and burns down the house, and they do not have the appropriate insurance cover, you and the remote pilot will be personally liable for damages under civil litigation, you will also be open to massive SafeWorkNSW and CASA fines, even jail time. SafeWork are now fining individuals! Most if not ALL Commercial Excluded Remote Pilots with only the RePL licence can't be insured for drone use. ReOC Holders (like us!) ARE FULLY COVERED!   3) Will they provide a Flight Plan, Job Safety Assessment and Risk Assessment for each job?  This is a regulation by CASA, they must do this for every flight. It doesn't have to be complex, time consuming or costly, by doing this they are completely covered for any incidents that may occur, if they do not do this, they are not covered by insurance.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

My credentials and accreditation is the highest level in the country. For example: there are only 3,100 ReOC holders in Australia. Of that number, there are only 17 women and I am 1 of those women, that makes me very unique and less than 1% of the ReOC holders in Australia!   Further to this, I have been accepted into the CASA Automatic Airspace Authorisations system, where only ReOC holders can apply for specific areas (such as Sydney Harbour Restricted areas R405A/B and military zones). This is a trial and requires preapproval from CASA to join.  I have several 5 star reviews, not just on OneFlare from where I was just doing design work, but on Google, both of my websites and on LinkedIN. AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY 1) LOCATION: Some areas are off limits for flying a drone, these include the flight path of an aerodrome. If you give me the address for the project firstly, I can let you know if we can fly or not. Some areas are completely off limits, some require an application to CASA which can cost from $800-1800+ and they can take 100 days to approve. So make sure that it is a project you really need or consider using just a pole based camera if you can't afford the drone flight. We do actually do ground based photography as well, so if we can't fly because of the location, we can offer an alternative for you to consider. There are other options including animations and CGI if that is in your budget.   2) BUDGET: Be realistic when it comes to specialised drone imaging services expect to spend a decent amount of money. It can be expensive especially if it is for surveying, 3D modelling, thermal imaging etc. Complex projects may include construction sites next to hospital heliports, or with a tower crane, locations like this require a ReOC holder to conduct the imaging. Be open to discuss alternatives if flying is too costly or complicated. It is important to know Non-Compliance can cost you WAY more than our rates.  DESIGN 1) If you have a new business, check your new registered business name for free on IP Australia Trademark search ATMOSS (Gov) https://search.ipaustralia.gov.au/trademarks/search/quick  2) If you already have a logo and your designer needs the master, have it ready to send via GDrive or email.  3) Rush jobs cost more, so plan ahead.  4) Printing and other expenses are always extra to our charges.
