Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

Accepted Answer

Yes we are fully insured and yes we do stand by our workmanship.  We have no problems coming back, if there is a problem at all.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

By accident.  After working 20years in the one job, I had the opportuniy to work for a carpenter, whom I learnt a lot from and then was offered a tiling labourers job.  I enjoyed it so much, I got my qualifications and started my own business.

What do you like most about your job?

Accepted Answer

The satisfaction of completing  a job and the client is over the moon.  The transformations of bathrooms with just some basic tiling is incredible and with so many tile types nowadays, it's amazing what can be created.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Make sure they are qualified, licenced and insured. If something goes wrong, then you have some recourse.  Check with the QBCC if in doubt.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

People ask our opinion on tiles but our job it to lay them.  We can offer advice on how to lay them to get the best look, but ultimately its the clients decision.  Once they are glued down, they are not easy to remove.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

We are entrusted with peoples houses to complete work when most of the time the owners are not home.  We do our jobs and lock up behind us leaving nothing behind but some awesome work. We arrange jobs ahead of time and arrive on time.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

We take pride in our work and offer obligation free measure and quotes.  We are locals and family run.  No job too big or small.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Accepted Answer

We need to know what substrate the tiles are going onto, such as concrete or timber.  If timber then an underlay would need to be laid first, which we can help with. We need to know what type of tile, tile size as well.  Also what areas are being tiled to get the right set out.

What makes your pricing competitive?

We only charge for metres laid and work performed.  If there looks like being any hidden costs, we tell the customer this when we quote.  We use good quality products that stand the test of time.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Accepted Answer

We work on a square metre rate, depending on the type of tile, whether its wall or floor.  Some jobs may be small but can be very involved so may be worked out on an hourly rate.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

Accepted Answer

We use all tile types for both indoor and out, as well as stacker stones, brick-faced walls, pool paving.  We have renovated many bathrooms from lining the walls and floors to adding the tiles, shower bases, features etc.  We even have the equipment to rip up old tiles before renovating.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

We have two trade qualified tilers plus a mature-aged apprentice who know all aspects of tiling.  It's our job to know our products inside and out, and we stand by them. In the business now for 10 years, we have experienced all there is to know in the wall & floor tiling world.
