Wool coats every 4 to 6 weeks, fleece every 6 to 8, double coats every 6 to 8 with regular deshedding. Tip 2: Brush your dog at home between professional grooms. A coat that arrives clean and tangle-free takes far less time to work through, which keeps the price lower. Even 5 to 10 minutes of brushing a few times a week makes a real difference. Tip 3: Choose the right service for what your dog actually needs. A wash and dry from $45 is often enough between full grooms. A tidy up from $70 covers face, paws and hygiene without a full clip. Booking the right service saves you from paying for one you do not need.
