We engaged Digital Daddy to build our website and run ads. After months of missed deadlines, no deliverables, ignored cancellations, and continued billing, here’s what happened. I rarely write negative reviews, especially against a small business, but in this circumstance I believe a review is warranted to document my experience and also to warn other clients. I engaged DD in March 2025 to develop a new website for our business. Baran's proposal quoted a six-week timeframe, with a start in two weeks. Four months later, only a single draft homepage had been shown. Separately, we engaged DD to launch ads for our business - in his initial email, he made a representation saying he'll create a landing page and launch ads over the weekend as soon as we subscribed to his retainer. A month later, no advertising campaigns were ever launched and I didn’t see any progress being made so I sent a cancellation request. Baran then asked us to give him another chance, where he said he would pause the retainer and admitted that there was no work done due to his personal issues. I provided some material to launch ads for an event for July, and then he shaped up some creatives afterwards. July comes, and I see no ads being launched, no landing page, nothing - so these creatives went to waste. Baran also sent me a text on 24/06, saying he was planning to launch Google ads on that day - guess what, no ads launched. I tried to get into contact with him in the days after, and he texted that he was down with the flu, and would get back to me by Monday, and Monday comes around - nothing. When followed up, I was told excuses or personal problems. These were always mentioned retrospectively, after long gaps of silence. Yes, they were communicated as you stated in your final email, but only after weeks had passed and I had to chase you up. If you quote 6 weeks, four months is not reasonable. If you make a representation to get the work done by the weekend, and nothing gets done for months, this isn't reasonable. You could have told us that the work could not be completed rather than asking for repeated chances. I initially continued to engage because he asked for another chance. Once I realised this was not a one-off but a systemic pattern, I terminated all engagements. Written cancellation emails were not acknowledged. Billing continued after cancelling, including “hosting charges”, which when brought up, Baran told me he could not refund them as it went to another entity. A search reveals "SLIGHT HOSTING" is just DD under another name, and why should we be paying when we’ve never seen this landing page for ads, and why should we be responsible for the charges when you failed to cancel the hosting charges after I formally cancelled a second time. When I requested a refund, it was refused. I was offered a heavy discount / completion at no further cost, but after delays and missed deadlines, we lost confidence in Baran. Upon requesting a refund, Baran cited his T&C's, which state that no refunds once work has started. By the Australian Consumer Law, statutory guarantees override contract clauses. Services must be delivered with due care and skill and within a reasonable timeframe. That did not happen here and is a major failure, and in such cases consumers are entitled to a refund. You mentioned that ad creatives were made, but they are of no use. What, are you launching it AFTER the event? In an email dated 25/08/25, after advising we would be taking legal action and writing a review on our experience, Baran also wrote to me: “If you try to harm my reputation, I will return the favour. Massively. Trust me.” That speaks for itself. Just to remind you, we were your client, and you were not ours. I want to be clear: I have records of every payment, every follow-up, every cancellation, and every email quoted here. I will not be silenced by threats. This is the experience I had with this agency, and it is not defamation when it is truthful and substantiated. UPDATE: Your response is false and you know that. Shame on you - see screenshots.

Anyone reading this should know: the failures here came from Ming’s side, not ours. You also admitted to having “major issues” with your last two agencies. When the same problems follow you from one provider to the next, it’s obvious the issue isn’t with the agencies, it’s with you.

I will address each of your claims with facts. 1. Website Delay The six-week timeline was always a general estimate based on a straightforward build with a fixed brief. You never gave us that. From the start, you constantly changed direction, first approving designs, then rejecting them, then showing us new websites you suddenly liked and insisting we copy parts of those. Each time you shifted the goalposts, we had to scrap work already done, re-do wireframes, and redesign layouts, and we did all of this without charging you extra. On top of that, you specifically asked us to pause the website so we could focus on ad campaigns first. You accepted that this would push back delivery. And the claim that only a single homepage was ever produced is completely false. The inner pages were completed and communicated with you. We even messaged you to review them, and you ignored it for over a week until we followed up again. You were the one who stalled the process, not us. The truth is simple: every delay came from your indecision, your constant changes, and your failure to respond. To now turn around and blame us for “four months with only a homepage” is extremely dishonest. 2. Ads This is false. Ads can’t launch without access, strategy, billing, and signed-off copy, all of which you failed to provide despite repeated requests. The creatives were ready, but they went unused because you never finalised your side. The 24/06 text was based on your confirmation that access would be completed. You didn’t deliver, so the launch couldn’t proceed. The delays were entirely your fault. Even the “flu” you mention was communicated immediately — there was no silence. 3. Hosting Hosting, is a separate, metered service with its own billing cycle and termination procedure. You did not complete that cancellation properly at the time, hence renewal. As for “SLIGHT HOSTING is just DD under another name”: it’s the hosting brand we use for infrastructure and accounting segregation. Different trading style, same operator; and still not a basis to claim we can reverse committed third-party costs after the fact because you changed your mind. 4. Silence Another false statement. The longest gaps were when we were waiting on you to provide content, approvals, or logins. Again, your own texts show you were behind. You were repeatedly told what was needed, and it was not delivered. When delays came from me, such as illness, they were communicated at the time, not hidden. 5. Refunds Refunds were not given because work had already been completed. Hosting continued charging because you didn’t cancel it properly. Both of these were explained to you. You didn’t want to accept the responsibility on your side, so you call it “ignored.” We had almost completed the entire project: homepage, all inner pages, ad creatives, account prep, strategy work, wireframes, sitemaps, over 20-30+ hours of phone calls and strategy and time spent chasing you for materials. Just because you didn’t use the work doesn’t mean it didn’t exist.

 6. Threats I will defend myself with the truth. That is not a threat. That is my right. As you even stated to simply please you we were happy to complete everything without charging you for the final payment. Yet you continue to lie. 7. Records You have records, so do we. Including your texts & emails showing you caused delays. You caused the delays and then tried to pin them on me. The fact that you had friends rush in to “like” your review says everything about its lack of genuineness. It’s clear the purpose wasn’t to provide honest feedback, but simply to cause harm. Hope your day gets better and good luck with your next agency.

We’ve worked with Baran and the team at Digital Daddy for a number of months now, and our experience has been nothing short of outstanding. I normally don’t write reviews this detailed, but given the level of service and the results we’ve seen, I feel it’s deserved. From day one, Baran took the time to understand our business, our industry, and our goals. Rather than throwing us into a cookie-cutter website or ad campaign, he asked the right questions, mapped out a strategy tailored to us, and explained every step clearly. The proposal was transparent, the timeline realistic, and communication was constant. The website build was smooth and professional. Baran’s team handled everything from design to integrations, and every draft we saw showed genuine thought about user experience and conversions. We requested several adjustments along the way, and instead of being treated like a burden, our feedback was taken on board and implemented quickly. The final product exceeded expectations — it looks polished, runs fast, and, most importantly, converts visitors into leads. On the advertising side, the difference was night and day compared to what we’d tried in the past. Campaigns were launched with proper tracking, clear targeting, and constant monitoring. Baran walked us through the creative process, showing us why certain headlines, copy and visuals would work, and the results backed him up. We saw immediate traction in Google Ads and Meta campaigns, and for the first time we actually understood where our ad dollars were going. What stood out most was accountability. Every week we had updates, reports, and open conversations about performance. If something wasn’t working as expected, it was adjusted immediately. There was no hiding, no excuses — just solutions. That level of ownership is rare, and it gave us real confidence in continuing to invest. Beyond the technical skills, Baran genuinely cares about his clients. He’s proactive, reachable, and invested in outcomes, not just ticking boxes. It’s obvious why so many other businesses have left 5-star reviews — our experience matches theirs. If you’re looking for someone who will take your website and marketing seriously, deliver on promises, and actually get results, we couldn’t recommend Digital Daddy highly enough.
