Q: What type of paint is recommended for woodwork and wood trims; oil based paint or water based paint?   A: We can only offer our professional opinion after we understand the customers particular circumstances. However, here is some general advice as there are pros and cons with both products:  Pros for oil based paint -  Hard wearing, smooth finish (less brush marks showing) Cons for oil based paint  -  Yellows, smells strong (lots of VOCS)  Pros for water based paint - Non yellowing, Low odour Cons for water based paint  - not as tough, takes 30 days to fully cure

In the past I have worked for various different painting companies in Perth and they all seem to lack pride and quality in their work and they took many short cuts to get the job finished as quickly as possible.   Our company differs as we spend a great deal of time carrying out the correct preparation before any paint even touches the surfaces to ensure the finish is to a high standard. We work closely with our customers to achieve the best result we can, after all we pride ourselves on our quality and our excellent word of mouth reputation.

It is vital to view the property to give an accurate quotation unless the property is a new build then a set of plans before hand is great (Estimate only)  The quotation will vary on property size, amount of rooms, the condition of ceilings and walls and how many different colours are chosen.

The customer can save money by: - Removing furniture from the rooms that are required to be painted. - Take down all pictures from the walls and clear away all valuables and breakables - Remove door handles from doors - Remove light switch and plug covers

My business has low overheads as we don't have any offices so our pricing structure is very reasonable.  We price the job correctly the first time and don't charge any hidden extras. All our prices include: filling, gapping, sanding down and washing where necessary. Sheeting up all areas (new plastic throw-away sheets will be used to cover electronics, beds and electrical equipment).
