Obviously a catalogue is a bit different to a business card. Try to have all the information at hand for the job you are looking to have completed. Identify what you don't have (suitable photography/images, an eps file for your logo etc) and what you do have.

Spend some time on assembling all the information required to get the job done. It is a lot easier to subtract information than to add it later on. Try to have a colour conbination in mind. If you've seen something you like send us an image so we know what direction to follow.
