Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

I have public liability and indemnity insurance through TCS and I assure all couple their weddings will be legal and compliant as well as personalised for them.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I love people, I love LOVE, I love public speaking and I love writing - makes being a Marriage Celebrant perfect sense!

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

I have no favourite wedding stories - they are all wonderful and unique.  I am blessed with meeting so many happy young couples getting married in a variety of beautiful locations that every story is magical.

What do you like most about your job?

I LOVE the LOVE!  When I meet couples who are embarking on their wedding planning journey and then their subsequent life as husband and wife, the love and happiness surrounding them is almost tangible.  You can't help but be happy and exited when you are with people who are in love! xo

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

There is no particular question to ask a celebrant but you have to have a celebrant that you like and feel comfortable with.  They are creating memories that last a lifetime, so make sure you like your celebrant and then it follows that you'll love your memories!

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Accepted Answer

Am I available for your wedding day?  This is important as I only conduct one wedding per day so that each couple has my entire focus - if I'm booked already, I'm unavailable. Do I do the legal stuff?  Yes, I certainly do! What happens if you can't make it on the day? This would only occur if there was an emergency.  If that should happen, I would get another celebrant to your ceremony, failing that, I would get the ceremony to you, have one of your guests do the ceremony and I would get to you as soon as possible to make it legal and give you a refund of 50%.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I bring energy and enthusiasm to all of my meetings and weddings.  I am truly interested in the people I marry and I want to make their wedding perfect.  I believe I provide more than a commodity, I provide memories that will last a life time and I want those to be wonderful.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

Accepted Answer

My focus is you.  I go out of my way to ensure that your special day is just that, special.  My ceremonies reflect the couple I am marrying and their wants, be that a traditional and formal wedding to a more casual and relaxed affair. I only conduct one ceremony a day so if you're running late - no problem.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

To provide an accurate quote, I need to know the location and date of the wedding.  A wedding time is good too but not essential.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Accepted Answer

Wedding ceremonies are fixed quoted prices based on location and time of the ceremony.  I do give a 5% discount for Winter Weddings (June, July and August).

What makes your pricing competitive?

My pricing is all inclusive for the Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands areas.  That means ensuring the wedding is registered and travel to and from the venue.  It even includes a rehearsal if the couple would like one!

I have a fixed price depending on location.  Contact me for seasonal pricing plus winter weddings receive a 5% discount.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I love all aspects of Celebrancy however, Weddings are my thing.  I ensure the couple's needs are met and will happily conduct weddings of any type to make sure the couple has the perfect day.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

In addition to a Cert IV in Celebrancy, I have an English Degree and a Masters of Education plus a huge amount of public speaking experience both within Australia and Internationally.  I love all things weddings, from the huge smiles of everyone involved, the electric buzz of love that surrounds a wedding to the tiniest details such as a flower girl's posy.
