There’s something deeply satisfying about transformation taking something weathered or forgotten and making it feel new again. I saw the potential to turn a practical skill into something more meaningful, a service that improves how people feel about their homes or businesses.   I decided early on that if I was going to do this, I’d do it properly with the right equipment, training, and a standard of care that clients could rely on. Cleanpass was built from that mindset, and it’s still what drives me today.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

One job I’ll never forget was for a young family who had just inherited their grandparents weathered coastal home. It was filled with memories, but the exterior had fallen into disrepair with an algae covered roof, algae and mould-stained exterior walls, and a driveway buried under years of neglect. They weren’t just looking for a clean they wanted to honour what the home had meant to their family even if at the time they didn't know it...  We approached it with extra care, using soft washing on the timber and painted surfaces calibrated heat and high-pressure on the concrete. As we finished, their young daughter ran onto the clean driveway barefoot, just like her mum used to as a child. Her mother teared up and said, “You’ve given us back a piece of our family. I really can’t believe the difference, it’s like it was when I was my daughters age, I can’t believe the difference”  That job reminded me why I do what I do. It’s not just about restoring surfaces it’s about restoring connection, pride, and moments that matter.

What I value most is the sense of transformation not just of the property, but often in how people feel about their space.   There’s something powerful about taking a surface that’s been neglected or weathered by time and giving it new life. You see the difference immediately, and so do the clients.   But beyond the visual impact, it’s the trust clients place in me that means the most. Being invited onto someone’s property, often with high expectations and tight timelines, is a responsibility I take seriously.

A reputable professional will always have public liability insurance and workers insurance and be happy to provide proof. 2. What cleaning methods and equipment do you use? Not all surfaces suit high pressure and not all pressure washers are created equal, far from it. Make sure they tailor their approach using soft wash for delicate areas, hot water for heavily soiled and stained areas. 3. Do you have experience with my type of property? Residential, commercial, heritage, or strata buildings each require specific knowledge. Ask for relevant examples or photos. 4. Can you provide recent customer reviews or references? Verified feedback is often the most honest reflection of quality, reliability, and professionalism. 5. What’s included in the quote and are there any hidden costs? A detailed, upfront fixed-price quotes are your best protection. They should clearly explain what’s covered, including preparation, clean-up, and any treatments applied.
