Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

As a certified practicing and licensed conveyancer and a member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers NSW, I am required to have Professional Indemnity Insurance.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I simply fell into it, starting as a receptionist in a law firm as a teenager (the only law firm I ever worked for !) After having children, I decided it may be a job that I can do from home, which I love.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

Accepted Answer

I do not have one in particular, however I often get wonderful thank you notes, flowers and other presents and it is really nice to know you are appreciated and have done a good job.

What do you like most about your job?

Accepted Answer

Assisting people obtain their home, often their first home, with a minimum of stress and fuss. To see how happy they are on settlement day.   I like making the process easy for people.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

How are they going to communicate with them to keep them updated on their matter.  Are they going to be available to answer any questions that may arise. Are they able to be flexible with meeting times and places.

What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

Usually they want to know the cost, which I have noted here. Sometimes they  want to know whether I can advise them on contracts in a hurry, even the day of an auction. I am always able to assist.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

I will always return telephone calls and emails the same day and my reliability will prove itself throughout the process of the sale or purchase transaction. I have numerous return clients.

Why should a customer hire you over another service provider?

I always go out of my way to make the process as stress free as possible. I strive to communicate regularly with my clients via email, SMS and of course by telephone and letters.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

My fee is a flat fee and therefore usually all I need to know is whether it is a sale or purchase of residential property. Sometimes large strata schemes, off the plan purchases and company title purchasers are more expensive as there is more work involved.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1.Have a pre-approval for your loan for the purchase. 2. Be certain you are interested in the property. 3. Be sure of your finances. 4. Know the market you are buying into.

Are there any special offers you would like to offer to Oneflare customers?

I review auction purchase contracts at no charge, although there may well be a limit to the number but I have not as yet reached it ! Pest, building and strata reports are additional costs (payable to the providers).

What makes your pricing competitive?

I believe my price is competitive with solicitors and other conveyancers. The personal service I provide, being available out of hours and at short notice means value for money.

How do you normally charge for your service?

$1490 for a purchase (large strata, off the plan and company title are extra)  $1155 for a sale transaction  These are flat fees and therefore there are no further disbursements other than pest, building and strata reports.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I can assist with purchases or sales of residential property, be that land, houses, units or company title properties. As a certified practising conveyancer, I am licensed to conduct these transactions.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

I  worked for many years in a firm of lawyers, as a conveyancing clerk and as commercial leasing clerk. I have a diploma from Macquarie University in Conveyancing Law and Practice. I have run my own business since 2006.
