HELLO, I’m Carmelina — the owner and photographer behind CARMELINA PHOTOGRAPHY.
Photography has been a part of my life since 1997. Over the years, I’ve worked across many studios and photographic styles, refining my craft and developing a genuine love for capturing real, meaningful moments. My passion eventually led me to start my own business, where I now specialise in weddings, families, maternity, newborns, children, dance, and fashion photography.
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I’m especially drawn to intimate weddings — whether they unfold in a quiet church, a lush rainforest, a charming garden, or along our beautiful beaches. I love discovering new locations and turning them into the backdrop of your story.
My approach is gentle, relaxed, and focused on natural emotion: the soft glances, the laughter, the joy shared between you and your loved ones. My goal as your wedding photographer is to create a comfortable atmosphere so you can truly enjoy your day while I capture every moment with care.
My wedding packages are simple and flexible, offering options from two hours to a full day of coverage, allowing you to build a package that suits your celebration perfectly.
NEWBORN, MATERNITY, CHILDREN AND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY
Family photography is one of my greatest joys. Whether we’re shooting outdoors, at home, or celebrating a special milestone, I focus on capturing authentic connection — the personalities, laughter, and unique bond your family shares. Children grow so quickly, and preserving these moments is something I deeply value.
My maternity and newborn photography is an extension of that same love. From documenting the beauty of your pregnancy journey to capturing your baby’s tiny hands, toes, and early expressions, these sessions are approached with patience, gentleness, and genuine care. It’s an honour to create images that hold these precious chapters for you to treasure forever.
DANCE PHOTOGRAPHY
Working with dancers is something incredibly special to me. I’m passionate about showcasing movement, technique, strength, and artistry. Whether in the studio, on stage, or in a creative outdoor setting, I focus on showcasing the elegance, strength and individuality of each dancer. I take great care in capturing clean lines, elegant poses, and the emotion behind every movement. My dance photography is perfect for studios, portfolios, and individual dancers wanting professional, striking images.
FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY
Fashion allows me to explore creativity in a completely different way. I enjoy working closely with models, designers and creatives to bring concepts, style, and personality into each image. Whether it’s portfolio work, branding shoots, or editorial-style sessions, I aim to create images that feel polished, bold, and full of character, while still ensuring the experience is comfortable and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Carmelina from first meeting her to discussing our wedding photography right through to the wedding ceremony and reception and in between's was absolutely amazing!A true professional,yet so caring and obliging,a naturally creative and artistic humane being.Carmelina is a great communicator and has natural ability to work with you along the way all whilst doing some very natural yet beautiful photography and with such great quality. Our family and friends were also in awe of who Carmelina is as a photographer and a humane being. We cannot recommend her enough and highly,certainly will be engaging her again. Thank you Carmelina! We were lucky enough to have Carmelina as our photographer for our wedding at The Avenue on April 12th. She was lovely, friendly, relaxed, professional and just amazing with interacting with ourselves and our guests. We did not have a traditional wedding shoot and wanted a very relaxed vibe for the event which Carmelina achieved to perfection. Carmelina has captured so many of the little moments that as the bride and groom you are too busy to take in on the day. It was another little emotional rollercoaster of joy and a few tears looking back at the special moments she captured of us and our guests on the day. We hired Carmelina to photograph our wedding, unfortunately the result was not what we were hoping for. Most of the photos we received were only of average quality and often over-exposed. She didn't appear to have much experience with weddings and couples shots, so her directions were often quite vague. We tried to experiment with some red smoke flares for the couples session, but unfortunately she didnt come prepared. At one point she waved the lit smoke flare in our direction, flicking burning red dye at us in the process. The wedding dress was permanently stained pink in places. We took it to the dry-cleaners but they informed us that it couldn't be saved. My wife is devastated as she was hoping to keep the dress as an heirloom. Her price was a good deal cheaper than most other wedding photographers, but be warned, you get what you pay for.17 Mar 2025
