No, I personally am Vaccinated against COVID-19, however I do not require clients to be.

What COVID-19 measures do you have in place?

Accepted Answer

Depends on a client's requests specifically - But the basics include social distancing where applicable, hand sanitiser on hand, and I'm more than happy to wear a mask if requested.

I have loved photography for most of my life, I then studied photography at James Cook University in Townsville and decided to make it my career.

Accepted Answer

Meeting amazing people and capturing them in moments where they're being their most authentic selves. Travelling and experiencing different places, and the opportunity to bring happiness to people when they come to reflect on my work.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Accepted Answer

This again feels like a personalised thing, and based on the job specifics. Still, from the outset, customers should request a portfolio to review whether the photographer's work or aesthetic is what they are looking for, and if/how much experience they have in the field the job is for.  A photographer having not done a certain style of photography previously does not mean they won't ace the job given the opportunity, however for them at the least having done work in similar areas certainly helps.

What makes you the most reliable and trustworthy person for the job?

Passion for my job, the quality of my work and customer satisfaction are my main motivators. Beyond that, I have a number of clients I continue to work with consistently as they love the work that I produce, and my approach to photography and film work.

Accepted Answer

I will always be competitively priced, punctual to meet deadlines, and reliable no matter the size or scale of the job.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Accepted Answer

The job location, the client's expectations, any deadlines to be met for the completed work, and any relevant specifics about the job that may be important to the quoting process - any dangers associated with the gig etc.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

Accepted Answer

Establishing any specific requirements before my arrival at the venue/location. Ensuring (in certain contexts) that all other moving parts of the shoot are well managed to allow everything to run as smoothly as possible. This benefits everyone involved. Early communication if there are any changes to scheduling etc.

What makes your pricing competitive?

As a sole trader/freelancer, I don't have the same overheads to do what I do compared to hiring through a firm. I tend to the entire workflow myself, so I won't ask you to pay for additional expenses like utilising an external editor. My equipment is my own, so no costs for equipment hire. I also enjoy what I do, so I don't need to ask for exorbitant amounts of money to get me out of my chair.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Generally, a breakdown would include travel expenses, time spent with a camera in hand, other specifics including the equipment required - DSLR or Drone as an example, any safety factors that may be relevant etc. and projected time spent editing and finalising the photographs/film.  These are the basics on which I factor into a quote.

Is there a particular aspect of your trade or industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in event and live music photography however, I'm not limited to this. I'd recommend heading over to my Instagram page for a better understanding of the scope of my work. One of the specialties/talents in my photography that I've heard time and time again from clients and friends is my capacity for capturing people in their most happy and genuine states, allowing their personalities to shine through. I do love this about my work.
