I am fully insured with AAMI business insurance to the value of $5 million dollars. I guarantee my work for 5 years.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I use to have a pamphlet distribution business, and I noticed that another antenna repairer, use t drop pamphlets. As I was little quiet I thought i would have a go at something to fill in the quieter times, and hence go into this.

I enjoy the fixing the really hard to solve problems, the ones that the customer has had someone else try to fix, but has not succeeded and then resolving it.

I use to work in an office ,and sit in front of a computer. That was the most soul destroying job a human could do. Buy working in a physical capacity and using my brains I find this to be the best combination of both worlds.

What are you charging, what is the quality of the products you are using like. Do you ensure the roof is left water proof eg no leaks. Are you charging as per a fixed quote or hourly rate.

They ask what will you charge, how long will you take , when can you do it. The quotes vary from $190 to 260 for new antenna and new point. A new point would be $135. I take about 2.5 hours per job. I can usually do it within 24 hours.

I am very honest, a very friendly person who loves to meet and chat with the customers. My reviews attest to my reliability. I was always turn up on time.

I have 20 years experience in antennas and estimate I have installed approximately 12300 antennas over the years. I always get a great result for the customer. Above all I provide a very competitive price, as I believe in honesty above all things.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

Is it double story, what sort of roof is it. Are the tiles concrete or terra-cotta. Where do you want the new point? What preference if any for the antenna position? If there is a TV viewing problem exactly what is it doing, and how many TVs in the house are affected?

I have done this many times in the past , If they explain the problem clearly I can sometimes resolve the problem over the phone and thus save them any fee.

As my prices are so reasonable already I would find it hard to price the jobs any lower. But if a customer is within 5 kms of where I live , they can get at least 10 % off normal prices.

I work on my own , I source the best quality products form the most reliable suppliers with a keen eye on the pricing. Above all I never rip off customers, as that is not what life is about.

I leave an invoice straight after the job is completed and the customer can pay either by cash or by online direct bank transfer.

I specialise in problem TV picture troubleshooting, new antenna installs, advising clients an the best and cheapest methods, and running cables.

I am a fully qualified mechanical engineer. I have 20 years experience in antenna and cabling installations. I have training in drafting , road construction, automotive manufacturing. I have all OHS cards.
