How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I was apprentice trained in the 80s in the UK  and have been in the trade since so we are the best workshop to come to for European cars

Meeting so many different people and cultures. Hearing the report from customer what their vehicle is doing eg., it has a squeak, a rattle, a bop bop noise or a chinckling noise We did actually find a rather deceased rodent in some brake pads and that explained the squeak

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

The Vehicle identification number (VIN) is required to correctly identify your vehicle. This number is the vehicles 'fingerprint' and allows us to ensure that the parts quoted for your vehicle are correct. The VIN is 17 digits long and can be located on your registration sticker. This along with the registration, make, model and year of production also assists

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Be concise about what needs to be done to the vehicle.  2. Let us know of any budget constraints prior to servicing as we can offer HUMM payment plan 3. Save time on diagnosis by providing as much information as possible on issues with your vehicle. Some times the smallest pieces of information can save hours in diagnosis labour.  *We would never replace any part with out Customers consent

Because we operate without franchise fees or advertising budgets means we can keep our costs cpmpetitive This allows us to pass these savings on to you. Unlike the Dealers, we are not compelled to use Genuine parts. Quite often parts of equal or better quality than that of the manufacturer are more economical to use.

We have great extensive knowledge of all vehicles European, American or motorcycles We have even been asked to fix whipper snipers, mowers, boats & jet skis

32 years in the trade worked on all makes of cars for the 50s through to modern cars . Apprentice trained the old fashion way as well as all the modern technologies
