How much do you charge. Depends on what is required... Photographers need to charge for their expertise, and their time. A lot of time is spent processing and 'tweaking' the raw images after the photo shoot/event. This is often over-looked by the client. Photographers generally charge an hourly rate or at least make up an overall cost (package), based on the hours spent per person on the job, during AND after the shoot.

I am passionate about the work that I produce. Each client is unique, and each person has special needs.  There is never a 'one camera-setting for all people/work'.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

I am not expensive.  However, I work hard and do not work for a 'cheap' rate.  If you are after a 'bargain' or are not able to afford a high calibre photographer, I may not be the right choice for you. Let me know your intended budget and you will find I may be able to work with a reasonable offer.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1 - Specify the exact location and the size of the location and the TIME of the day the service is required. 2 - Be more exact with time-frame of required service. Don't estimate; you could be up for hundreds more dollars otherwise. 3 - Do not hide a service within a service. Example/ If you require event photography service, don't surprise the photographer with a headshot request on the day.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I take into account the travel costs too and from the location, the hours on the job or number of clients, and the time taken to edit and process the files.   A minimum of 2 hours job site charge will always apply.  Albums, printing, framing and physical goods are an extra service and will be quoted as an additional cost.
