I am a fully qualified Bas Agent in Australia. As such i need to follow guidelines set out by the Tax Practitioners Board. I am also fully insured & definitely guarantee my work. I can supply lots of references.

How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I used to work as a delicatessen manager for many years in Denmark. During this time i had to provide budgets & meet them as well. When i arrived in Australia, a friend of mine told me to get into bookkeeping. So i did.....the rest is history.

I have so many stories, that i couldn't pick one. I like great feedback from customers, that they like the new team member & don't know how they survived before. That is always nice to know.

I like a challenge & setting up books the right way. I like seeing the smile on a clients face, when they learn how to do their own bookkeeping. I like to get it right for the client, so it is easy for them.

That is a tricky one. I can supply lots of references, which gives a client an insight into who i am. I am also comfortable with providing phone numbers of existing clients to call. It is worth noting that i have had lots of my clients from i started my business.

Some clients have had a bad experience in the past & might be affraiid of the rates. We are efficient & know a few shortcuts to make the daily data entry much faster once the file is set up right.

Ask anyone who knows me & they will say that is me. They are keywords for me, just as is being organised. My clients trust me so much, that i hols a number of keys to businesses, so i can let myself in to complete their work.

I need to know how many hours the client need me for & i can supply an hourly rate. After this i need to know about the entity, how much is involved, do i need to do payroll, do i need to teach the client how to etc.

There is lots of ways to save money & we try to help a client with a few ideas. We specialise in systems & procedures. Tip 1: Have the bookkeeping in order Tip 2: Have all the paperwork, no missing receipts Tip 3: Be on time

What makes your pricing competitive?

I offer two rates generally. If i work for a client every week, then i charge a lower rate, as opposed to the clients i see every quarter.  We are efficient in the way we set up the client's books & save money this way.

How do you normally charge for your service?

I charge an hourly rate. If the job is a fair distance away, i usually like to make the appointment around 2 hours. I don't charge for pick up or delivery, if you would like me to do the jobs in my offices.

No, i do it all. I have worked in many different industries & love the variation. Every business is different & it is important to be able to listen to the client in order to understand their needs. This ensure i can give them exactly what they need.

I have completed the Advanced Diploma in Accounting. I hold a current certificate in Training & Assessment. I have been a bookkeeper since 1996 & like to keep informed with new legislations. From 2009 till 2012 i was the convener for the Sunshine Coast AAT group for bookkeepers & accountants.
