  I engaged AMN Plumbing, Epping, to replace a cooktop. The attending plumber collected $165 from the tenant, which I had arranged in advance. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with how the job was handled. There was a misunderstanding about the location of the gas shut-off valve, and I was advised over the phone that accessing certain areas was not included in the quote. While the plumber was onsite, I clarified that the shut-off valve was located just behind the oven. Despite this, the job was not completed. I found the communication and overall service disappointing. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this provider.

  Harry Morris, I would like to clarify the situation. The agreed price for a standard cooktop changeover was $300. I travelled one hour after hours, and you first gave me the wrong address. When I arrived, I found extra work under the house was required, so I quoted $700. You decided not to go ahead. My company’s call-out fee is $180. You refused to pay that, so I said $165, but then you tried to drop it to $80–90, which was not fair. I also learned from the tenant renting the property that you had not paid the previous plumber either. AMN Plumbing is honest — I explain everything clearly to customers, and that’s exactly what I did here
