• Are you an insured business and do you guarantee your work?

  A BAS agent is a “Business Activity Statement” agent registered with the Australian Government’s Tax Practitioners Board. A BAS agent has the legal capacity to lodge your reporting to the ATO (eg Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements, Taxable Payments Annual Report). To register as a BAS agent with the TPB you are required to have extensive experience in bookkeeping, payroll and BAS services (generally under the guidelines of a registered tax agent); you need to have Professional Indemnity Insurance and need to provide evidence of Continued Professional Education to The Tax Practitioners Board.

• What questions do customers commonly ask and how would you answer them?

  Most customers want to know how long it will take to prepare their Business Activity Statements. This really depends on the amount of transactions going through your bank and how readily information is provided to myself.
