How did you decide to get into your line of work?

I decided to work as an acupuncturist and herbal medicine practitioner because it worked effectively for my period problems when I was in Japan, and it didn't painful! I wanted to offer the great treatments to everyone in Australia.

Most of my clients are very relaxing and even falling asleep during the sessions. Even children like non-needle acupuncture sessions, and they told me to do more!

Clients should ask if they are registered acupuncturist. Unfortunately, unqualified practitioners who use "dry needling" normally just learn a needle technique at the short course to strongly stimulate the muscles and they don't know how it affects to the whole body.

Preventing rather than treating illnesses. Check your diet and reduce junk foods. Try to walk to the shop instead of using a car. Check your habits and if you want to change them, we can help you.

Chiemi doesn't see more than two clients at a time. The time is all yours. She is good listener and treat you as a whole.

How do you normally charge for your service?

Adult: $80 for the first session, $75 for the following sessions. Child: $40 for the first session, $30 for the following sessions (discount available for more than 2 kids at the same time appointment).

Women's health, including natural fertility support, IVF and IUI support, period pain, problems during pregnancy (morning sickness, frequent miscarriage, sciatica, stress, breech presentation and labour support) and menopausal symptoms. Children's health, including hyper activity, night crying, digestive issues, tic and bed wetting. Emotional health, including depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc. Pain management, including neck pain, back pain, joint pain, headaches, etc.

What experience, skills, qualifications or training do you have to make you the right person for the job?

Chiemi has completed her Bachelor of Health Science through the Australian College of Natural Medicine, and has also completed her post-diploma course in Shonishin (children's non invasive acupuncture) and Japanese style acupuncture in Australia and Japan. She has completed an internship with a gynaecology acupuncturist in Japan.  After working with a renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine Professor, she worked at the clinic with acupuncturists, a naturopath, and massage therapists for several years and learned different techniques and approaches to Chinese medicine.
