How did you decide to get into your line of work?

We are a couple who wanted the opportunity to spend more time with our family both young and old, while still doing something we enjoyed and contributing to others. We consider our line of work a community service in many respects and we take our work seriously so our customers are always happy. We believe in doing what we love and Danny has always enjoyed moving people's lives from one place to the next. It grew from there.

Do you have a favourite customer story you would like to share?

We moved an elderly woman who was very distressed after her husband left her for another woman. Our team made her a cup of tea, engaged her and comforted her and reassured her that they would take care of everything, and they did. She was so happy and couldn't believe we cared so much for her personally. We understand we're moving people's lives, not just furniture.

We love to see the smile on the customer's face when the job is complete and they are grateful our team has made their day enjoyable, stress free and simple. Our team loves to engage the customer to reassure them their treasured possessions are in good hands. Our goal is to leave our customer feeling like their day went very well and the usually horrid task of moving becomes a pleasurable and even enjoyable day.

What questions should a customer ask to hire the right service professional?

Do they have hidden charges, such as travel or fuel levies added to their hourly rate? How many men will be on the job? What size is the truck, as this determines how many trips will have to be made to move you, and more trips is more time, therefore more cost. Do they charge you from 'yard to yard', which means you're being charged for the time they travel to and from your job.

How long is the job going to take? For a house, the easiest way to judge it is by the amount of bedrooms. On average, 1 bedroom is 2 hours, 2 bedroom is 3 hours, 3 bedroom is 4 hours and 4 bedrooms is 5 hours etc. This is for a standard home with standard furniture, but it's a good guide.

We have a proven track record with 20 years experience and our staff are trained to deal with customers, not just furniture. Our team understands that moving is traumatic and stressful and we're here to make your experience stress free and easy. We are reliable and punctual and do the job quickly.

We have over 20 years experience, are fully insured and very reasonably priced. We only charge door to door on the Gold coast. We treat you like family and take care of your possessions like they're our own.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can provide a quote to a customer?

1. Amount of bedrooms in existing home. 2. Type of access to the property, i.e. stairs, steep driveway etc 3. Any extra heavy items such as a piano, cast iron bath, spa (hot tub) or gym equipment. 4. Amount of outdoor furniture such as bbq, outdoor bar etc. 5. Distance to new premises.

How can a customer save money before you start the work? Please give 3 tips

1. Make sure all items are packed before the removalist arrives. 2. Try to pack items into boxes of the same size and have them in one central location for moving. 3. Dismantle any beds/frames if possible.

We only charge from door to door, which means you're charged from the moment we arrive at your premises to the time we unload the last item. We DO NOT charge travel to or from the job and no fuel levies or other additional charges. Our hourly rates and quotes are all inclusive.

We charge an hourly rate from door to door, NO TRAVEL CHARGES for the Gold Coast region. We also do specific quotes for your job and are happy to come on site to see what your requirements are.

We specialise in removals for your home, unit, hi-rise, office, shop, factory, and exhibitions and displays. We will dismantle and reassemble furniture as required and assist with best placement of furniture for space requirements.

Our team has been moving furniture for many years, but we also understand we are moving people's lives, not just furniture, so all our staff are also educated and trained in the psychological and traumatic impact that moving has on people's lives, so we can genuinely care for the individual needs of the customer.
